Membership Information
The Moana Life Saving Club was formed in January 1938 and we play a large role in the community.
FAMILY MEMBERSHIP
- 2 adults (associate members) and all the children they are responsible for living at the same address including Students and Apprentices up to 18 years
- Thursday night swimming at State Swim
- Variety of training – SRC / Bronze / Drone / IRB
- Club prices at the bar and for events held at the club
YOUTH MEMBERSHIP (AGE 13-15 years)
- Thursday night swimming at State Swim
- Variety of training – SRC / Bronze / Drone / IRB
- Representation at State Titles and above – entry fee paid
YOUTH MEMBERSHIP (AGE 15-18 years )
- Thursday night swimming at State Swim
- Gym membership (16+)
- Variety of training – SRC / Bronze / Drone / IRB
- Representation at State Titles and above – entry fee paid
- Club prices at the bar and for events held at the club
MINI MO MEMBERSHIP (5-7 years)
Includes one parent membership as associate member
- Includes compulsory High-vis vest for junior
- High-vis vest compulsory for all training sessions – no vest no training.
- 1 x Nipper Parent Membership (First Year)
- 1 x Junior (U7) member
Please Note:
*Parent must attend whole session with junior. No Mini Mo can participate without parent/guardian present.
1 x Parent is free for the first year but must register.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP (8-13 years)
- Includes a compulsory High-vis vest for junior
- High-vis vest compulsory for all training sessions – no vest no training
- 1 x Nipper Parent Membership (First Year)
- 1 x Junior member.

*Does not include competition fees. Parent(s) of existing junior members are required to take up one of the associate or family membership options.

NIPPER PARENT/GUARDIAN MEMBERSHIP
An Nipper Parent or Full Member Parent must accompany the child
- 2 adults (associate members) and 1 child
- Thursday night swimming at State Swim
- Variety of training – SRC Training for nipper / Bronze / Drone / IRB
- Club prices at the bar and for events held at the club
- Use of Club facilities (excluding gym)
- NO voting rights at AGM unless committee/office holder*
Please Note:
* It must be stressed to parents, that Club activities for juniors 5 to 13, is NOT a “DROP & GO”, a parent must remain on the beach with their child or children.
Parent(s) of Junior members are required to join with their children by taking up an Nipper Parent Membership or Family Membership option. When joining the Club under Family Membership options, each Family Member must be registered individually.

FULL ACTIVE MEMBER
- Use of Club Craft (if qualified)
- Must be a Bronze Medallion or accredited SLSA Award holder or Cadet Active as defined by SLSA, passed Surf Rescue Cert.
- Passed annual proficiency test
- Bronze Active as defined by SLSA, passed Bronze Medallion, passed annual proficiency test
- Includes training path for Surf Rescue Certificate (13–15)
- Includes training path for Bronze Medallion
- Includes training path for ARTC and Provide First Aid.
- Shall complete the annual proficiency test
- Contribute to Moana SLSC & SLSA at a club level *
- Voting rights at AGM if Award holder
- Use of Club facilities
- Discounted selected room hire (Approval required)
COMMUNITY MEMBERSHIP
- Use of Club facilities (public areas only)
- No patrolling requirements
- Invitations to social events, competitions and group/club activities
- Member bar prices
- NO voting rights at AGM unless *Committee Member/Office Holder
